horoscope looks bright

after going through a month of bad karma. i'm ready for some good stuff to come my way. I got stung by two bees, I fell of my bike in front of a crowd at coffee bean in west hollywood, I got a flat tire, the job loss, and i'm sure there is more. BUT NOW, i'm ready to focus on the positive.

This was my horoscope this morning:

How can this be anything but a fabulous day for you, Matthew? You are in tune to the spiritual power of today's planetary energies, and sensing the collective thoughts of mankind. Any social gatherings this evening are bound to be uplifting and enlightening. Everyone is feeling positive for what the future holds. You have every right to feel the same way.

I really want to start my own business. I am thinking it will be producing shorts and music videos. Maybe I could strike a deal with a theater and put the shorts before movies play. This could make shorts more profitable. I really need to focus on selling my short story, so that's what I a am going to do now. Finish up the stories that I want to write and keep the job search going!

alumni mixer

today I set up a meeting with a creative marketing exec at universal. fingers crossed it opens some doors. i also went to an alumni mixer and might start attending a writers group with chapman alum. I also saw some good friends and am thinking about shooting a short with my friend dani s-l, then we could submit out fest! Network, network, network. I've just got to keep going!

You're Fired.

It happens randomly, like a snake striking your leg, emptying the venum from it's deadly fangs. It's something that throws your whole world upside down, like a sailboat when it's too windy. Or even sometimes it's like being stabbed because there's no reason or sign of caring or purpose.

I got fired... Let go, ta ta, we don't want you anymore.

Now what do I do? I'm going to continue pursuing my dream, that's what I am going to do. For too long have people been stuck in jobs that they don't want!

Let go and join my on my pursuit to become a film director. It's going to be a long journey. It's going to be tough to find the light as a starving artist. But, I am ready and will take all the baby steps I need to turn my life into what I have always wanted.
